The late singer – who died of acute Propofol intoxication in 2009 – stayed with veteran actress Jane Fonda in 1981, and she was surprised to discover a series of recordings urging him to be a good person that he kept under his pillow.

She told TV talk show host Rosie O’Donnell: “Michael Jackson lived with me for 10 days when I was making ‘On Golden Pond’. He slept on a mattress that he put on the floor, I was in the loft, and there was a tape recorder, and I looked down and I could see a cord under his pillow and it was a tape that he would listen to and it would say, ‘You’re a good person, it’s going to be OK.’ ”

Meanwhile, the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker’s house has been recreated for an auction in Beverly Hills on Saturday (17.12.11).

More than 500 pieces of fine art that filled his home on 100 North Carolwood Drive have joined items including a chalk board with ‘love you Daddy’ written on and a piano on display ahead of the sale.

However, the bed in which he passed away in will not be sold by Julien’s Auctions following a special request from Michael’s mother Katherine Jackson.

Madonna to star in halftime show of Super Bowl XLVI

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Madonna will perform in the halftime show of Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, the NFL announced late Sunday.

She joins a who’s who of music on the list of Super Bowl performers — including The Who, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.

The pop queen’s performance will see her team with Cirque Du Soleil and will follow the opening of her film “W.E.” — about the love affair between Britain’s King Edward VIII and American divorcee Wallis Simpson — two days earlier.

Super Bowl XLVI will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Katy Perry’s life is becoming a soap opera.

At least, that’s how the pop star sees it, given all the rumors surrounding her in recent days.

First, there was speculation that she was expecting, which she colorfully denied. Now, there have been rumors that her marriage is on the rocks – something Perry also denied Wednesday night with a joke on Twitter.

“First I’m pregnant & then I’m divorced. What am I All My Children?!” she quipped.

Husband Russell Brand also issued a joking denial of a split during a taping for Friday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I am really happily married,” he says, adding it’s difficult to avoid Internet rumors “because a lot of the nude women Web sites I quite enjoy.”

On Wednesday night, Perry helped announce the Grammy nominations at a live concert in Los Angeles, where she sported her wedding ring. (Perry also snagged two nominations herself.)

Perry, 27, and Brand, 36, were married in October 2010 in a lavish ceremony – that included two elephants as well as acrobats and jugglers – at a luxury resort in northern India.

Since then, they’ve had nothing but fawning words for one another in interviews, with Perry calling Brand her great man of God, and he gushing about his spiritual and emotional connection to his bride.

Kris Humphries’s filing for an annulment has shaken up Kim Kardashian, even though she had considered doing the same thing, a source tells PEOPLE.

“The filing is, of course, upsetting,” says the source, who is close to the reality starlet. “She respects Kris and just wants them both to find peace and move on. … Kim doesn’t want a battle.”

The NBA player went to court Wednesday with a request to annul their 72-day marriage on the grounds of fraud. If granted, it would be legally tantamount to the elaborate, filmed-for-TV wedding having never taken place.

Kardashian originally had looked into filing an annulment, says the source, but opted instead for a divorce petition because she was told it would be too difficult to prove the grounds for an annulment in court.

“Kim is sad how things ended up,” says the source. “The split was a devastating decision from the beginning.”

Courtney Love has become Lindsay Lohan’s sobriety coach as she helps the troubled actress stay away from drink and drugs.

The Hole singer – widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain – has battled drink and drug addiction in the past and wants to pass her knowledge and advice to the troubled ‘Mean Girls’ actress, who has been in rehab five times.

She said: “I’ve taken up Lohan because nobody else will. [She's] further down the line than I was, because there was no [gossip websites like] TMZ then.”

This is not the first time Courtney,47, has revealed she is helping 25-year-old Lindsay – who is currently completing her court ordered community service – stay away from drink and drugs.

She recalled to Details magazine: “I went up to Lindsay’s room one time and there was a show on called ’101 Celebrity Oops’ and I am like every other one, you know – boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing s**t at Madonna, you know, whatever. I’m like ‘Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!’ ”

Courtney has had help from her celebrity pals in the past to help beat her addictions, in particular, Orlando Bloom.

Speaking in 2008, she revealed: “We chant every day. The 12-step programme demands that you have a spiritual practice that you do daily.

“I love Orlando for this. He doesn’t mind being outed as a Buddhist. I don’t mind talking about it because it has changed my entire life, changed everything – restructured my body, restructured my physicality. Truly I can, not all the time, but I can take joy at really s****y situations.”

This Thanksgiving, Eva Longoria knew exactly what – or rather, whom – to be grateful for: her boyfriend of almost a year, Eduardo Cruz.

The Desperate Housewives star is counting her blessings after finding love again following her divorce from Tony Parker.

“Love did not work with that person. But it can work with another,” the actress tells Spanish Vanity Fair in a new interview. “The only thing I will say is I was very lucky to find Edu.”

Longoria, 36, and Cruz, 26 – the younger brother of actress Penélope Cruz – have been dating since last winter. This past week, they took their romance coast to coast, with stops in Miami and California.

Longoria filed for divorce from Parker, an NBA star, last November after three years of marriage. Despite that breakup, the actress says she still believed in the power of love.

“There’s a reason I fell in love and got married. I believed in it,” she says. “Supposedly I should be angry, resentful and disillusioned about relationships. But I’m not.”

Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein wants curvy, latex-loving pop princess Katy Perry to play Marilyn Monroe in a Broadway version of “My Week with Marilyn.”

The powerful Tinseltown producer said Perry would be an ideal fit to bring Monroe to stage, in a production that he’s targeting for “five to 10 years” down the road.

Weinstein’s studio now has Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams playing America’s most famous sex symbol in the flick that’s in current release.

“I think Katy would be perfect to play Marilyn Monroe,” said Weinstein, who runs The Weinstein Co. with his brother, Bob.

“She would knock it out of the universe.”

The movie, “My Week with Marilyn,” is based on the memoirs of Colin Clark, who spent a week with Monroe in 1957 while she filmed “The Prince and the Showgirl” in the United Kingdom.

The video – which details a destructive relationship between a couple, played by the Barbadian beauty and model Dudley O’Shaughnessy – can only be broadcast after 10pm because their love scenes were deemed too “suggestive” to watch before the watershed.

The promo has previously been slammed after it appeared to allude to the abusive relationship Rihanna had with her former boyfriend, Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to assault in 2009, by showing the 23-year-old star and Dudley raving with friends, fighting and getting intimate with one another.

I wish no ill will against Rihanna and her friends. Perhaps they could acquaint themselves with a greater God.

Filming of the controversial mini-movie also angered a farmer in Belfast, Northern Ireland, earlier this year when he kicked Rihanna and her film crew out of his field because he was unhappy with her skimpy outfit.

Devout Christian Alan Graham said at the time: “If someone wants to borrow my field and things become inappropriate, then I say, ‘Enough is enough’.

However, Rihanna is proud of the promo, tweeting recently: “We’ve never done a video like this before. This is probably one of the deepest videos I’ve ever done. It’s all about love and love being like a drug. You definitely get that from this.

The actress has moved on from her most iconic part as the lead character in TV series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, and would only play her again if it was for her two-year-old daughter, Charlotte’s, favourite children’s show.

Referring to furry red monster character Elmo, Sarah said: “I could share a scene with Elmo. I mean, I’ve worked with some great people ,  Andy Garcia, Forest Whitaker – but they’re not Elmo.”

Sarah, 34, added she would also agree to share the scene with another of the show’s more fitting characters, Count von Count, who is modelled on a vampire.

She added: “Yep, okay. But that would be the only place I’d return as Buffy.”

Sarah finished on ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ in 2003 when she was 26, and is glad it ended while she was still young because it means she has plenty of time to develop her career in other directions.

She added to The Sunday Times newspaper: “One of the beauties of being on ‘Buffy’ was it afforded me the chance to live other experiences.

“I’m lucky that I don’t feel I have the pressure some actors do. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished and I’m not chasing something. A lot of actors are.”

Carolina Herrera: The ‘Breaking Dawn’ Wedding Dress ‘Had to Be Magical’

Reviews of the film are in, but how about reviews of the wedding dress? So far, not much has been said about the much-anticipated Breaking Dawn wedding gown, but designer Carolina Herrera certainly hopes fans love it.

“I worked on that dress for like six months going back and forth,” she told E! on Monday night at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. “I still have all the sketches and everything because it was so special.”

Herrera partnered with Twilight author Stephanie Meyer to design the gown, staying true to her description. “I think she did a fantastic job, and I respected what she wanted,” Herrera added to FabSugar at the premiere. The designer met with Kristen Stewart for fittings — “I think she’s fabulous,” she said — and really thought about the otherworldly subject matter as she sketched.

“You had to really take into consideration the whole story, which was this innocent girl with the first true love of her life,” the designer, who’s created wedding gowns for Christina Hendricks and several other stars, explained. “It had to be magical.”
