Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s three-month-old dog almost died after eating rocks and had to undergo surgery.
Selena Gomez’s dog almost died after eating rocks.
The singer-and-actress was devastated when three-month-old puppy Baylor got violently ill last Friday (11.11.11) after ingesting a large amount of small boulders.
So Selena – who adopted the Purina Puppy Chow last month with boyfriend Justin Bieber – took him to the vet, where he underwent surgery.
Selena tweeted: “My baby is sick 
praying for his surgery. (sic)”
The adoption agency the couple got Baylor from will now visit Selena once a month to make sure she is caring for the pooch properly.
Justin and Selena – who has five rescue dogs – adopted Baylor after visiting the Winnipeg animal rescue centre D’Arcy’s ARC, where they fell in love with him.
D’Arcy Johnston, chief executive officer of the rescue centre, said: “They spent a lot of time with the puppies. I was told that Selena was missing the dogs that she has at home.
“I wasn’t expecting her to adopt a dog while she was on tour and has a busy schedule. Baylor probably would have had a bad life or a very short life. But he got rescued and brought to our shelter and is now going to live a very good life.”

The Steven Spielberg-Peter Jackson film, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, had the highest grossing opening for an animated film in the history of India.
The film raked in 73.5 million rupees (about 1.46 million in U.S. dollars) this past weekend, beating Kung Fu Panda 2 by 20 million rupees.
The numbers are even more staggering as Tintin had to compete against the Indian film, Rockstar, which grossed 640 million rupees (12.7 million) and the animation genre is still growing in India.
The film was released in Hindi and English with over 350 prints ordered throughout the country, breaking another record.
This performance is also the highest grossing of ANY of Spielberg’s films in India.
Unfortunately, the Americans have to wait until December 21, 2011 before the film is screened in the States

Are Demi And Ashton Going To Reconcile?
Well, apparently they are trying to!
Ashton Kutcher has been having a rough few months, as he was caught cheating on wife Demi Moore in San Diego, and then last week made some pretty uninformed comments regarding Joe Paterno and the Penn State scandal via Twitter, but he may be in luck, because according to insiders, his marriage may NOT be over!
The source explains:
“They both want to work things out. They are doing a lot of talking and Kabbalah counseling. Despite all that has happened, when it comes down to it, they both really love each other.”
And another elaborates:
“It has been a painful time, but [Demi] she’s holding up. While there are problems, they both want to fix things. She and Ashton need each other.”
Well, as suspect as we are that their marriage will actually survive, we appreciate that they’re doing what they can to make it work!

Immortals Tops The Box-Office This Weekend!
With the likes of Henry Cavill and Kellan Lutz, we are certainly not surprised!
Despite some lukewarm reviews from critics, Immortals has reportedly debuted to an impressive $32 million from 3,112 domestic locations, and is estimated to make another $25 million through today, which will mean its well on its way to recouping the $75 million invested in the project – and then some!
Meanwhile, the absolutely panned Jack & Jill debuted to its estimated $26 million, which means it somehow beat Puss in Boots, which dropped this week down 23% to earn a $25.5 million this weekend!
Good lord. Who actually went to go see that mess?!
Here’s hoping the kitteh can reclaim its spot ahead of it by tomorrow! They’re pretty neck in neck!
Steve Carell Is One Of Two Lunatics!
The Office may be missing Steve Carell, but Steve Carell is certainly not missing The Office!
The actor has just signed up for the film Lunatics, which is an adaptation of the forthcoming novel written by Dave Barry and Alan Zweibel, and focuses on two New Jersey dads whose feuding at their kids’ soccer games ultimately leads to some serious chaos!
The original authors will be penning the screenplay, and Carell will apparently play one of the leads, a pet store owner who referees the games on Sundays!
Oh man! This sounds like it has the potential to be absolutely HIGHlarious!
We’re definitely going to check it out!

Michael Jackson’s Former Manager Describes His Longtime Propofol Abuse In New Book.
This is just heartbreaking.
As the Conrad Murray trial resolved itself this week, Michael Jackson‘s former manager, Frank Cascio, revealed in a new book about his time with the pop legend that Propofol, the drug that eventually took his life, was introduced to him as early as 1999.
According to an advanced copy of the manuscript, Jackson started taking Demerol in 1984, when he burned his head during a Pepsi commercial shoot. It became more of a regular habit during the 1993 Dangerous tour.
However, it was in 1999, after a stage accident in Munich, when he was introduced to Propofol, and when Cascio approached his siblings about his slowly-growing addiction to the drug in 2001, they tried to intervene, but he “simply pushed them away.”
Cascio sadly concludes that Michael “died in his endless quest to attain some inner peace.”
We hope that wherever he is now, he has found the peace that seemed to evade him during his time on Earth.
