Jewelry “Temple St. Clair”
Known for her rock-crystal amulets, the Virginia native formed her distinctive vision studying Renaissance jewelry and apprenticing with artisans in Florence. She now counts Beyonce, Nicole Kidman (at left), Heidi Klum, and Naomi Watts among her fans. Her newest collection is dominated by pastel stones set in 18kt gold. “Because my jewelry has ancestry and roots,” St. Clair says, “it becomes timeless.”
Travel Like Jessica Simpson
If you’ve never traveled in a maxi dress, we strongly suggest it. A comfortable style like Simpson’s feels like pajamas, but looks effortlessly stylish and makes a long flight that much more tolerable. Finish the look with simple flats—since they’re barely visible under a long dress, there’s no need to force your feet into heels.

The Ugly Betty star’s flowy length gave her a youthful look, while her shorter style “lifts and frames her face, making her look more chic, sophisticated and fun!” says celebrity stylist Edward Tricomi. He recommends applying finishing cream as a last step to get a smooth look.
Jewelry “Ippolita”
“Ippolita’s jewelry is beautiful, sleek and graphic. Each piece has a sexy, feminine essence,” says star fan Halle Berry (at left). Ippolita is known for slender gold bangles—unadorned or with semiprecious stones—that stars including Jessica Alba, Minnie Driver and Kate Hudson love to stack on their wrists. “I like the bangle because it’s not an occasional jewel,” says Ippolita Rostagno, who hails from Florence, Italy. “You can put a bangle on and never take it off.” After using only gold for nine years, Ippolita has now added resin and silver to her collection.

Celebrity stylist David Babaii, who has worked with Gwyneth Paltrow, says her long style “created versatility and the opportunity to wear it many different ways.” When she wanted an update, she opted for a razor-sharp, shoulder-length style that’s longer than the trendy bob yet very modern. “The bob is a classic but a lot depends on your face shape in selecting the length and angle,” notes Babaii.
Courteney Cox
For a visit to the Ritz Carlton in New York City, Cox skipped her signature laid-back style in favor of a leather-trimmed jacket and pencil skirt. The Scrubs star accessorized with a classic Chanel bag and strappy patent sandals.
The Scoop on Michelle Obama’s Inaugural Gown and Jewels
Designers from Kai Milla, Marc Bouwer, Reem Acra (who dressed Jill Biden for the big night) and Isabel Toledo, whom she wore to the Inauguration, all sketched potential options for the new First Lady, and the fashion world waited to see her choice with bated breath. Turns out that Michelle chose a one-shouldered silk chiffon Jason Wu number covered in organza flowers and Swarovski cyrstals — and no one was more surprised than the designer himself, who learned of Michelle’s choice with the rest of the world. “I was in awe when I saw her. I was emotional, I was amazed,” Wu tells PEOPLE. The N.Y.C.-based 26-year-old designer, who along with four friends sewed the countless number of flowers onto the dress by hand, says “I wanted the dress to reflect hope, fantasy, a dream [because] this is a pretty surreal moment we’re living in.” As for the color, Wu told Meredith Veira on the Today Show, “I wanted to design a gown that would highlight her best features.” To accent the feminine gown, Michelle chose diamonds from Loree Rodkin, who says “The First Lady is a symbol of hope, courage and great style. Words can not describe the emotions I feel that Michelle Obama has allowed me to be a part of this glorious moment.” From her line, Michelle chose 60-carat white gold and triple rose cut diamond drop earrings, a 10 carat center stone white gold and black rhodium rose cut diamond ring and white gold and diamond bangles, which will become part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Museum.
KATE VS. HEIDI - Who wears it better?
