Jennifer Love Hewitt’s dirty dog tricks
Jennifer Love Hewitt is embroiled in a custody battle over her dog.
Despite an amicable split from fiance Ross McCall earlier this month, neither party can bear to be separated from their boxer Mona.
Jennifer is even believed to be resorting to dirty tricks to win the pooch’s loyalties.
A source revealed to the New York Daily News newspaper: “Jennifer is even attempting to change Mona’s name so that when Ross calls, the dog won’t come.”
Jennifer has previously revealed the couple put another of their dogs, cavalier King Charles spaniel Charlie, on anti-depressant drug Prozac after the pet began behaving oddly.
She said: “Charlie started doing this weird, like, intense licking thing, where she would, like, lick the air. She’s got an anxiety disorder, so they put her on Prozac. Now, she’s as happy as can be.”
Amy Winehouse burgled
Burglars smashed their way into the ‘Rehab’ singer’s North London property at 4am this morning (30.01.09) - stealing £15,000 worth of her belongings including recording equipment and five guitars - just a couple of days before the singer returns to the UK from the Caribbean island of St Lucia.
A source said: “Amy is devastated. Some of the guitars are irreplaceable due to their sentimental value. The flat is in a real state. It had been cleaned up in preparation for her return.”
Police say there are, as yet, no leads in their bid to find the culprits.
A police spokesperson said: “No arrests have been made and our enquiries continue.”
Amy, 25, is expected to fly back to London this weekend to start work on her third album, the follow-up to the worldwide hit ‘Back to Black’.
She is also set to visit her husband in prison in a bid to stop him filing for divorce.
The troubled star has applied to see Blake Fielder-Civil - who is serving a 27-month sentence for perverting the course of justice and grievous bodily harm - to try and convince him not to end their union of her alleged infidelity.
Amy has been romantically linked to 21-year-old actor Josh Bowman and a fitness instructor named Andrew while holidaying in St. Lucia.
Lady GaGa’s Paris love
Lady GaGa says Paris Hilton released one of the “greatest records ever”.
Lady GaGa, who has enjoyed worldwide chart success with her debut single ‘Just Dance’, claims she enjoyed Paris’ 2006 reggae song ‘Stars Are Blind’.
Despite a raunchy video filmed on a beach, Paris’ debut effort failed to make it into the US Billboard Hot 100 top 10.
Lady GaGa told Paris at a Nokia music event: “I am really excited that you are here because I get asked about you all the time. We went to the same school and although we weren’t friends then I always knew I would eventually meet you.
“I loved ‘Stars Are Blind’. I thought it was one of the greatest records ever. Honestly, it is a great pop record.”
Paris - who is currently working on a dance album - was so pleased to discover Lady GaGa is a fan, she wants to record a duet with the sexy singing sensation.
Paris said: “I would love to do a song with you. I love you.
“Anything we would do would be a surprise. We can’t tell anyone anything.”Lady GaGa is keen to collaborate with Paris, replying: “Sure it would have to be a secret.”Paris continued to gush over the 22-year-old fledgling music star, claiming she is already an “icon” in the industry. She said: “You are incredible, you have become an icon. You won’t admit it, but I am going to say it. Believe me you are.”You are a fashion icon and I am impressed. I am loving your music.”Lady GaGa dismissed her icon status, insisting: “It’s going to take a whole lot more than one song to make me an icon. That’s for sure.”
Michael Jackson’s Thriller action
Michael Jackson is being sued by the creator of his iconic ‘Thriller’ music video.
Filmmaker John Landis - who was hired by Jackson to create the werewolf-themed promo because of his work on horror classic ‘An American Werewolf in London’ - is taking the former ‘King of Pop’ to court to reclaim four years of unpaid royalties.
Landis and Jackson allegedly signed a contract in 1983, granting Landis 50 per cent of all profits earned from the video.
In court documents, Landis - who co-wrote and directed the classic 14-minute promo - accuses the troubled singer of “fraudulent, malicious and oppressive conduct”.
He claims Jackson has failed to “provide any accounting of the ‘Thriller’ profits for the past four years and earlier, and failed to pay Landis his 50 per cent cut of the net proceeds”.
Official documents don’t specify how much Landis is owed, but it is thought to be around $1 million.
Landis’ lawyer insists legal action was taken as a last resort.
He said: “I can’t understand what they are doing to John Landis’ company. It is such a straight-ahead thing. It makes no sense at all to me.”Jackson is currently working with the Nederland Organisation to make a Broadway musical based on the horror-themed video, which sees a young couple go on a date only for the boy to transform into a werewolf.
